Sree Krishna Traders

Sree Krishna Traders is located right in the middle of the mess in Chickpet. If you know M T Street, you know how it gets. It is loud, crowded, and there is always someone pushing a heavy cart past your feet or shouting about a delivery. Our shop at number 25 has been here for a long time now. We deal in different items depending on what's needed at the time. It’s mostly trading stuff back and forth with other local businesses. B V K Iyengar Road is just a short walk away, so we get a lot of foot traffic throughout the day. The space is small, maybe a bit too small for all the stock we try to cram in there. Sometimes boxes are stacked almost to the ceiling, and you have to be careful not to knock anything over. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. Just a few old desks, some plastic chairs, and a lot of paper ledgers. It gets very hot in the afternoons, but we have a small fan that helps a bit. People stop by to chat or check prices every few minutes. It’s just how business happens here in this part of town. We know most of the other shopkeepers on the street by name. We’ve seen the seasons change, the festivals bring in huge crowds, and the quiet days when the monsoon rains start. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours. We just show up every morning and open the shutters to see what the day brings.
