Sree Balaji Traders

Sree Balaji Traders is located in Mulund West, right in the BPS Plaza at Prakash Nagar 814/A. Being in a place like BPS Plaza means it’s always busy. There are people coming and going from different offices all day long. We are traders, so our day is mostly spent on the phone or checking invoices against what’s in the crates. It’s a lot of coordination. Mumbai can be an exhausting city with all the noise and the pace, but you get used to it. Our office isn't very large. We have shelves packed with samples and files that have been there since the business started. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, and we have to carry things up the stairs, which is a real workout. We don't have any fancy marketing people. It’s just us. My desk is a bit of a mess with sticky notes and pens that don't always work. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going through the afternoon slump. Most of our clients are people we’ve known for years. They call us up, we talk about the weather for a bit, and then we get down to business. It’s a very personal way of working. We don't use a lot of complicated systems; we just write things down and make sure the orders get delivered. It’s a simple operation, really. We just try to keep things moving and stay on top of the paperwork every day.
