Spice Hot Spot Outlet

The Spice Hot Spot Outlet at Yelahanka New Town 974 is where we spend our afternoons and evenings. It’s a small place, mostly just a counter and some kitchen equipment in the back. We start our shift by prepping whatever is needed, chopping things up and making sure the supplies are topped off. The kitchen gets pretty warm once everything is running, so we keep the back door cracked open for a bit of a breeze. We don't have any fancy uniforms, just some aprons that get stained pretty quickly. Most of the people who come in are locals living in the town who want something quick to take home. We spend a lot of time wiping down the counters because things can get sticky pretty fast. There is a small radio in the corner that we keep on low volume just to have some background noise. The floor is a bit uneven in the corner, so you have to be careful when you're carrying anything heavy. We don't have a huge menu, just the things we know how to make well. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with the dinner rush when everyone arrives at the same time. By nine o'clock, we are usually pretty tired and ready to start the cleaning process. We scrub the grills and mop the floor so it's ready for the next day. It’s just a normal job in a busy part of town.
