At Spica Softwrae Services, we are located on NS Palya Road, right in the BTM 2nd Stage area of Bangalore. If you know this part of the city, you know the Mico Layout traffic can be a real test of patience most days. Our office at number 5 is a modest place where we spend most of our hours staring at screens and trying to figure out technical problems. It’s not one of those glass towers you see in the big tech parks. It’s more of a local neighborhood building. We have a small kitchen where the coffee is usually okay but never great. Most of us have been working together for a few years, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We don't wear suits or have long meetings that go nowhere. We just focus on the software tasks at hand. Sometimes it gets stressful when deadlines are close, but we manage. The nearby shops are where we usually grab lunch or a quick snack in the afternoon. Bangalore has changed a lot since we first set up here, and the area has gotten much more crowded. Still, we like being in BTM. It feels more real than the fancy business districts. We just keep our heads down and do the work. There isn’t much more to it than that. We are just a group of people trying to make things work in a busy city. It is a practical life for us.
