Special Spices Industries

Special Spices Industries is based out of 243, Industrial Area, Phase I. The air around here usually smells like something strong, depending on what we are grinding that day. It's got a real warehouse feel to it. We deal with bulk spices, so there are big bags piled up everywhere you look. It’s honest work, getting things ready for kitchens and local shops. The floors are always a bit dusty from the powders, no matter how much we sweep. We wear masks and hats because that's just the rule for the job. Dealing with spices means you get used to the sneezing after a while, especially with the pepper. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes in from the farms because if it isn't right, the whole batch is ruined. The machinery is a bit old but it works fine for what we need to do. We don't have a fancy showroom for customers. Most people who come here are truck drivers or wholesale buyers looking for bulk orders. Phase I is a good spot because the roads are wide enough for the big lorries to turn around. It’s hot in the summer inside the shed, but we keep the big fans going. It’s just us doing the daily grind, literally. We’ve been here at number 243 for years and the neighbors are all good people. We just keep moving and making sure the bags are filled and ready to go out.
