Sparsh Masala

We’ve been working out of this spot in Nelamangala for quite some time now. Our place is tucked away in Binnamamngala, right near the Arisanakunte Post. If you walk by 113/1, you can usually smell the spices before you even see the building. It’s not a big corporate setup or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we spend our mornings sorting through different kinds of seeds and barks. Some days the dust from the grinders gets everywhere, and we have to step outside for a bit of air. We mostly focus on getting the masala mixes right because that is what people around here expect from us. The machines are a bit old, but they get the job done if we look after them. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know each other’s families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or shiny brochures. We just put the stuff in bags and stack them up for the local shops. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit muddy, which makes loading the vans a bit of a pain. But we manage. It is a lot of manual work, weighing things out and making sure the seals are on straight. We just try to keep our heads down and do the work honestly every day without making a big fuss about it. Anyway, that is pretty much what goes on here.
