This place is at 840/A on the 100 Feet Road in Indira Nagar. It’s a big space compared to some of the other shops on this street. We have a lot of heavy plates and silverware that need constant washing and drying. The floor is a dark stone that shows every footprint, so we are always out there with a mop. Our kitchen is quite large, and there’s always someone chopping something or boiling water. It gets very loud during the Sunday lunch rush, with the sound of voices and clicking cutlery filling the whole room. We have these large windows that look out onto the street, and we watch the bikes zoom past all day long. The staff wears simple shirts, and we try to stay out of each other's way in the narrow aisles. Sometimes the supply truck comes late, and we have to shuffle things around in the pantry to make room. We have some paintings on the walls that have been there forever. Nobody really looks at them anymore. Most of our time is spent just making sure the tables are cleared and the water glasses are full. It’s a lot of walking back and forth, but it keeps us busy. We don't have any big speeches or plans, we just show up and do the work every day until we can close up. We usually just want to rest our feet.
