Sophia High School

We are located right on Palace Road at number 70, which gets pretty crowded during the morning rush. The building has been part of the High Grounds neighborhood for a long time, and you can definitely feel that history when you walk through the doors. You can hear the traffic and the horns outside, but once you get inside the gates, things settle down a bit. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy because the dust from the main road is constant. The rooms are a bit older and maybe some of the paint is peeling in the corners, but they work fine for what we do. Our staff has been here for years, and we know most of the families in the area by name. It’s a busy spot in the city, so there is always someone coming or going. We don't have a massive sports field, but we make use of every bit of space we have for the kids to stretch their legs. We handle the paperwork, the bells, and making sure the classrooms are ready on time. Sometimes the internet acts up or we have to move chairs around for a last-minute meeting, but that’s just a normal day for us. It isn’t fancy, but it’s where we work and where we’ve been for decades. Being near High Grounds means we’re central, so it’s easy for parents to stop by, even if finding a parking spot is a headache.
