Skanda Caterers

We've been running Skanda Caterers from this ground floor spot on C T Bed Road for a while now. Thyagarajanagar is a busy place, and our No. 126 address stays pretty active most mornings. It's not a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a kitchen where we get things done. Mostly, you’ll find us sorting out vegetables or packing up containers to head out for a local event. It gets a bit noisy when the stoves are all going at once, but that's just how it is here. People in the neighborhood usually know where we are. We don't spend much time on the computer or making things look perfect for a website. We just focus on the cooking part. Sometimes the delivery van gets stuck in the narrow lane because of the traffic, but we manage to work around it. It is a local business, run by people who live right around here. We know the roads and the shortcuts. If you walk past the ground floor, you can usually smell whatever is being prepped for the day. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a big team of managers, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We keep our equipment clean and our supplies fresh. That’s about all there is to it. We just show up every day at No. 126 and get to work. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting heavy pots and making sure the orders are right before they leave the door.
