Silken Hair And Skincare is over at number 5 on 9th cross in Malleswaram. This part of the city still has some of those old trees and a bit of that traditional Bangalore feel. We are on the 4th main road, which is usually quite busy with people going to work or heading to the market. One of the main landmarks near us is the BP Indian School. You can always tell what time it is just by the sound of the school bell or the shouting of the kids during their lunch break. Our shop is a simple place where people from the surrounding houses come in. We do hair and some basic skincare stuff. It isn’t one of those high-end places with white walls and fancy uniforms. We just wear what is comfortable and talk to the neighbors who stop by. Sometimes the 9th cross gets a bit congested with parked cars, but that is just how Malleswaram is these days. Inside, we have our mirrors and our products lined up on the shelves. It’s a quiet enough existence, except for when the school lets out. We have regulars who have been coming to us since they were young, and now they bring their own children. It is a nice way to spend the day, just doing our work and watching the neighborhood go about its business.
