Shrungar

We are located over here at 177, 7th Cross on Ramanjaneya Road. If you know Hanumantha Nagar well, you’ve probably walked past us a few times while heading towards the main market area. It is a quiet spot most mornings but picks up as the day goes on. We started Shrungar quite some time ago. The shop isn't huge, just enough space for a few people to sit and wait. We keep the mirrors clean and make sure the floor is swept after every person leaves. You see the same faces every week, mostly neighbors who live just a few streets away. Sometimes people just pop their head in to say hello while they are out buying groceries. The 7th Cross is a familiar place for us. We open the shutters early, usually when the milk delivery is happening. Bangalore weather can be unpredictable, so we keep the door slightly ajar to let the breeze in when it’s hot. There isn't much to say other than we are just a regular part of this block. We have the usual tools, some combs, scissors, and a couple of chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. Just the name on the front and the address here in Hanumanthanagar. It’s a simple life running a place like this, watching the traffic go by and keeping things tidy for whoever comes in next. It works for us.
