Shree Varu Condiments

Our shop is right on the Ganganagar Main Road here in Bangalore. It’s a place where we sell all kinds of condiments and daily essentials. If you walk down the main road, you’ll see our small storefront. I usually start the day by setting out the fresh snacks and checking the coffee and tea supplies. We have jars filled with different types of savory mixtures and sweets that people like to eat with their evening tea. The smell of the spices and the snacks is something I’ve grown very used to. It’s a busy road so there’s always the sound of horns and engines in the background. I spend a lot of time weighing out items for customers and packing them into small bags. The shelves are packed with everything from pickles to papads. Sometimes it’s hard to keep everything neat because the shop is quite narrow. I have a small stool where I sit when there aren't many people around. Most of my customers are locals who live in the lanes behind the main road. They come in for their regular fix of filter coffee powder or some biscuits. Dealing with the various distributors can be quite a task every week. I try to make sure we don't run out of the popular items. By the time evening comes, the shop gets crowded with people heading home from work. It’s a lot of work but it's a steady life here in Ganganagar for me and the family.
