We’ve been here at 16/189 on Mysore Road for a while now. Kenchenhalli is a busy area, especially with all the trucks and cars going past all day long. Most mornings start early because that’s when the deliveries usually arrive. You can hear the traffic right from the front door. We mostly handle different goods and materials that people need around here. The building isn't anything fancy, just a regular space with enough room for our stock. We spend a lot of time moving things around and checking the handwritten lists. Sometimes the heat gets a bit much in the afternoons, so we keep the old fans going. People from the neighborhood drop by or we send things out to other parts of the city. It’s mostly just us working through the piles of items and making sure everything is where it should be. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven’t found the time yet between all the orders. Mysore Road is always loud, but you get used to it after a few months. We keep the ledger on the old desk near the entrance. It’s a basic way of doing things, but it works for what we do. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure the trading keeps moving along every day. It’s steady work and keeps us on our feet from morning until the sun goes down.
