Shree Mahalasa Caterers

We have been running Shree Mahalasa Caterers for a while now from our spot on 7th Main Road in Srinagar. Most people around Raghavendra Block know where we are. It is just a small place, really. We handle food for local events and small gatherings. My cousin and I started this because we liked cooking for our neighbors. It gets busy in the mornings when we are prepping the vegetables. Sometimes the delivery van gets stuck in the narrow lane near No.932, but we manage. We don't have a fancy office or a big website. Most of our work comes from people walking in or calling after they tasted our food at a wedding. The kitchen is usually noisy with pots clanging. We try to keep things simple. If you are around Srinagar, you might have seen our sign. We just focus on getting the food right and making sure there is enough for everyone. It is hard work, standing on your feet all day, but seeing a clean plate makes it worth it. We don't do anything too complicated, just honest cooking that tastes like home. We’ve stayed in this same spot for years and don't plan on moving. If you need something, just drop by the house. We're usually there from early morning until late evening. It is a noisy job but it keeps us busy and out of trouble.
