Shravya Spices

Our place is at 132 on 5th Main in RT Nagar, right across from the Patilin Club. You can’t miss it because the air around here always smells like cumin and coriander. We have been running Shravya Spices for a while now, and it is a pretty busy little operation. The shop itself is quite narrow, and we have bags of spices stacked up high against the walls. Sometimes it is hard to find exactly what you are looking for because there is so much stuff everywhere. We spend a lot of time grinding and mixing, so there is always a fine layer of spice dust on everything. It makes most of us sneeze quite a bit during the day. The Patilin Club across the street always has people coming and going, so we get a fair amount of foot traffic. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights, just plain wooden shelves and some old glass jars. My hands are usually stained yellow from the turmeric we handle. It is hard work and the hours are long, but we are used to it by now. The floor is old stone and it stays cool even when it’s boiling outside. We just focus on getting the orders filled and making sure the bags are weighed correctly. It’s just a normal, local business where we do the same things every day without much fuss or fanfare.
