You can find Shiv Digital tucked away in Akkipet. We are at number 5 on Subramanyam Lane, inside Anjana Nivas. If you know the area, you know how narrow these lanes can get. It’s always buzzing with people and scooters squeezing past. Our place isn't very large, but we’ve packed in all the digital equipment we need to get the work done. It’s often a bit loud because of the machines running, especially when we have a big pile of work to finish by the evening. We get a lot of walk-in customers from the surrounding market. They usually want something done quickly, so we stay on our toes. The walls are covered with samples of things we’ve done over the years. It’s not a polished studio. It’s a working shop where we drink a lot of tea to stay focused. Sometimes the lighting in the lane isn't great, but inside we keep it bright so we can see the colors properly. We’ve been here in Akkipet for a while now and we know the rhythms of the street. When the festival season comes, it gets even more crowded, but that’s just part of being in this neighborhood. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just take the files, print them out, and make sure they look okay before the customer leaves.
