Shishira Veg Fast Food

Our place is located over at number 25 Kumbara Gundi Road, right in the New Kalasipalyam Extension area near HSR Layout. It is a busy corner with a lot of foot traffic throughout the day. We focus on vegetarian food that people can get quickly. We do not have a huge dining area, so a lot of people just stand by the counter or take their food to go. The kitchen is always moving, especially in the morning when the tiffins are being packed. We make a lot of dosa and idli, and the steam from the cookers fills up the front area. It is not a place for a long, slow meal. Most people are in a hurry to get to the bus or their office. We keep the prices where they are because we want the local workers to be able to eat here every day. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the fans are a bit noisy, but it keeps the air moving. We have got a small team, and we all do a bit of everything, from washing dishes to taking orders. It is hard work being on your feet all day, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We just try to get the food out hot and make sure the sambar is not too thin. That is about all there is to it. We keep things simple and try to stay busy.
