Shilpakala Mens Parlour

Shilpakala Mens Parlour is situated at No.82/8 on the Nagrathpet main road. If you know the area, you know it is one of the most crowded and busy parts of Bangalore. We are located right opposite the jataka stand. There is always a lot of shouting and the sound of carts being moved around outside. It is a very lively place to work. The shop is quite small, as space is hard to find in Nagarathpet. We have a couple of chairs tucked inside and enough room for a few people to stand and wait. Our mirrors are old and have seen many faces over the years. We don't have a lot of modern equipment, just the stuff that has worked for us for a long time. The lighting isn't the best, but we know the work well enough to do it by feel almost. Most of our customers are the local traders and workers from the market area. They don't have much time, so they want a quick trim so they can get back to their business. We don't have any fancy waiting area, just a small stool. It is a bit dusty and loud because of the main road, but that is the character of this neighborhood. If you are navigating through the market and see the jataka stand, we are right there across from it. We stay open until the market quietens down.
