Sheetal Spices

Sheetal Spices is situated at No-3 in the Bangalore Kirana Complex. We are right inside the APMC Yard in Yeshwanthpur. If you know that area, you know it is always loud and full of trucks. We spend our days surrounded by the smell of different seeds and powders. It’s a very industrial kind of place. We don't have a showroom with glass windows. It is more of a practical workspace where we move bags of spices around. The APMC Yard is where all the action happens for traders in Bangalore. We wake up early to get things ready before the sun gets too hot. There are lots of other shops nearby doing the same thing. We focus on our own work and try to get the orders right. Sometimes the dust from the yard gets everywhere, but that’s just how it is in a market like this. Our space is filled with sacks of various items. We spend a lot of time weighing things and tying up bags. It’s hard work and your hands usually end up smelling like turmeric or chili. We’ve been here in Yeshwanthpur for quite some time. Most people who come to us are other business owners or regulars from the complex. We don't do much advertising. People just know where we are. It’s a busy, dusty, and very real part of the spice trade. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the loaders to finish their job.
