Shanti Sagar Fast Food

We are over on New BEL Road at 34/A. It is a busy street, especially in the evenings when everyone is out and about. Our place is pretty straightforward. We have a small kitchen and a counter where we take orders. There is always the sound of someone cooking or the clink of metal plates. We don't have a lot of room for people to linger, so it is mostly about getting the food to them quickly. That is why we call it fast food, I guess. We spend most of our shift standing up and moving between the stove and the sink. It gets a bit crowded behind the counter when we have three or four people working at once. New BEL Road has changed a lot over the years, but we are still here at 34/A. We get students, workers, and families all coming in for a quick meal. We don't use any fancy equipment, just the usual stuff you would find in any local kitchen. The lights are bright and the fans are always spinning. It is a noisy, busy place but it feels like home to us. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just serve the food and keep the line moving as best as we can every single day. Most days we are tired by the end of it but it is okay.
