Shankar Store

Shankar Store is right in the middle of Village Kednur in the Belgaum district. If you can find the Gram Panchayat office, we are just sitting right opposite to it. It is very easy to spot. In a place like this, everyone knows where everything is anyway. We have been serving the people around here for a long time. The store is not very big, but we try to keep the things that people actually need. It is a simple shop with regular shelves and a plain floor. We open up early in the morning because that is when the village is most active. We stay open until the sun goes down. Usually, it is just me or someone from the family behind the counter. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers and neighbors who stop by. It is more than just a business to us; it is where we spend our entire day. We don't have a website or any bright lights on our sign. Just the name painted on the front. Sometimes the supplies are late because the roads are rough, but we just deal with it. We know the name of almost everyone who walks through the door. It is quiet out here compared to the big cities. We just sell what is needed and try to be helpful when someone asks for something specific. It is a good life.
