Shahnaz Beauty Parlour

You can find Shahnaz Beauty Parlour on the first floor of Archana Arcade. We are located on Jogpalya Main Road in the Ulsoor area of Bangalore. Being on the first floor means you have to walk up the stairs, but it gives us a bit of a break from the direct noise of the main road. Ulsoor is always busy, especially Jogpalya with all the shops and people moving around. Our space inside the arcade is modest. We have the different sections set up for whatever needs doing, like threading or hair work. It’s not a giant salon, just a comfortable enough space for the women who come by. We’ve got the usual curtains and some chairs that have seen better days but are still holding up fine. The lighting is okay, though we sometimes wish for more windows. Usually, there’s a bit of a wait on the weekends, so we have a few old magazines lying around for people to flip through. We don't spend much time on fancy displays. Most of our tools are kept in plastic drawers where they are easy to grab. The neighborhood is a mix of old houses and newer shops, so we get a real variety of people coming through the door. It’s just a steady, daily business for us here. We like the rhythm of Ulsoor and how everything feels alive right outside our window in Archana Arcade, even if it gets loud.
