About Shahi Food Point – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
Shahi Food Point is right there in BTM Layout at 48/49. It’s a small shop, mostly for quick meals and snacks. We’ve got the counter right at the front so people can order directly from the street. There’s not much room inside, just enough for the stove and the fridge. I spend most of my day over the heat, which can be tough in the summer months. We’ve lived in this neighborhood for a long time, so we know most of the people who walk by. The name Shahi sounds a bit grand, but we are just a normal food stall really. We do some rolls and some fried items that people seem to like in the evenings. The oil sizzles all afternoon and the smell fills the street. We buy our spices from the local market and mix them ourselves. It’s a family thing, my brother helps with the deliveries and I do all the cooking. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we're usually too busy to get to it. We keep the counters clean though. When the weather is nice, people stand around outside and eat. It gets quite crowded on Friday nights. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure everyone gets their food. It’s just a basic food point for the local BTM crowd.
