Sha Multanmal Hastimal & Sons

Our place is at 131 near the Belli Basavana Temple in Haripura, Mamulpet. It is an old family business that has been through many hands over the years. We have a long name but everyone around here just knows where we are located. The temple nearby brings in a lot of people especially on festival days. We have to keep the shop tidy but with so many items it is hard to keep it perfect. There is a specific smell of old paper and dust that I have grown to like over the years. We spend our days talking to suppliers and checking the quality of what comes in. We are not big on technology so we still use a lot of paper ledgers to keep track of things. It takes longer but we are used to it. The street is very narrow so getting goods delivered is always a bit of a headache with the trucks blocking the way. We just work around it. My sons are learning the trade now and they have their own ideas but we mostly stick to the old ways. We do not promise anything special, we just sell what we have at the price it should be. It is a long day from morning to night but we do not mind the work much. It keeps us going.
