Set Lorry Service

Set Lorry Service operates out of number 4 Singanayakanahalli on New Rander Road. This isn't a place with glass walls or carpets. It’s a real working yard where the lorries come and go. The office is a small, simple building right on the property. We spend most of our time dealing with drivers and checking the schedules for the trucks. New Rander Road is a major route, so we are always hearing the engines and seeing the dust kicked up from the road. Singanayakanahalli is a bit out of the main city center, which gives us the space we need for the lorries. Inside the office, there is usually a pot of tea going and a lot of logbooks spread out over the tables. It’s a bit rough around the edges, with grease on some of the door handles and plenty of mud tracked in when it rains. We don't mind it because that’s just the nature of lorry service work. We’ve been here at number 4 for a long time and everyone in the area knows where we are. It’s a basic, hard-working environment where we don't worry about appearances. We just make sure the lorries are moving and the jobs are getting done. It is a practical life out here on New Rander Road. We usually close up when the last truck leaves for the evening and the yard finally gets quiet.
