Our warehouse is tucked away in the Yeshwanthpur Industrial Area, specifically in Phase 1. If you know Bengaluru, you know how the traffic gets around here. It’s always noisy with trucks and vans moving in and out. We spend our mornings taping up cardboard boxes and making sure everything is wrapped properly. There's always a lot of bubble wrap and tape dispensers lying around the floor. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we’ve seen all kinds of furniture and household items pass through these doors. Some days it’s really hot and the dust from the industrial area gets everywhere. We have a small crew and we mostly just stick to our routine. We start early because the roads are a nightmare later on. Sometimes we have to double check the inventory lists two or three times because mistakes happen when things are moving fast. It’s hard work, mostly lifting and carrying heavy stuff up and down. Our shirts usually have some dirt on them by lunch. We take our breaks when we can, usually sitting on a crate or near the back of a truck. It’s not a glamorous job but someone has to get the boxes from one place to another. We just try to keep things organized and make sure the trucks are loaded right before they head out into the city traffic.
