If you find yourself over in Kadugondanahalli, you might have walked right past our place without noticing the sign. Savandhi Infra Trading Pvt Ltd is tucked away in Ambawadi 16/19, and it’s a fairly straightforward setup we have going on here. We started this trading business because we saw there was a lot of building happening around the area and folks needed supplies without having to travel across the whole city. The office isn't much to look at, just a few desks and a lot of paperwork piled up on the corners. Most days, we are either on the phone or out back checking the latest shipment that came in. It gets a bit noisy around Kala Chowki, so we usually have the radio playing to drown out some of the traffic sounds. We handle a lot of infrastructure materials, things that go into the ground or behind walls where nobody sees them later. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s steady. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the road outside a bit of a mess, which slows things down, but we just wait it out. Our team is small, mostly family and a couple of guys from the neighborhood who have been with us since the start. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or websites. We just focus on making sure the orders are right and that the trucks leave on time. It’s a basic way of doing things, but it works for us and the people we deal with. We just take it day by day here.
