Sankethi Food Products

Our place, Sankethi Food Products, is at No- 29-28/1 on Post Office Road. Mallathahalli is a nice area, and being near the post office makes it easy for people to find us. We make food products here. It's a small team, mostly family and a couple of neighbors. We didn't start with much, just a few pots and some recipes we’ve had for a long time. Now we have a bit more space, but it still feels like home. The kitchen gets really warm during the day, so we try to do the heavy cooking in the morning. We don’t have any fancy marketing people. We just make the food and pack it up ourselves. Sometimes the labels are a bit crooked, but the food inside is what matters. We use the same ingredients we would use at home. That’s the only way we know how to do it. On Post Office Road, there’s always someone walking by, and they often pop their head in to see what we’re making. We like the chat. It makes the day go faster. We aren't looking to become some giant company. We just want to keep making stuff for the people who buy from us. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but we are used to it. Mallathahalli is where we belong and we’re happy to be here doing this. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It helps keep the rhythm when we are packing the bags. Sometimes we run out of tape or the printer gets jammed. We just fix it and keep going.
