Sangeetha @ Begur Road

We are set up over on Begur Road in Hongasandra, right near where it meets Cunningham Road. It’s a busy intersection and there’s always something going on outside with the traffic and the street vendors. The shop is fairly large compared to some of the other mobile stores nearby. We have glass cases filled with all the latest mobile phones and some accessories like headphones and power banks. It’s bright inside because of the overhead tube lights, which is a bit different from the smaller shops around this corner. We spend our days showing people how the different features work or explaining why one phone is different from another model. It gets loud when we have a few customers at once all asking questions. Our staff lives around the Begur area, so we know the neighborhood and the people well. The floor is usually shiny because we sweep it a lot to keep the dust out from the main road. We have a small area in the back where we keep the extra stock and take our tea breaks during the afternoon. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the heavy traffic on Cunningham Road, so we just have to wait around. We don't use a lot of big words to describe the tech. We just tell people what we have in stock and let them decide. It’s a straightforward job. We open at ten and stay until the street lights come on. People come in mostly for new gadgets or just to look around.
