Salt N Pepper

If you head over to Wilson Garden Motera Sabarmati, you’ll find us at Salt N Pepper. It’s a busy little spot, especially around lunchtime when everyone is out looking for something to eat. We don’t do anything too fancy here. We just cook the food and put it on the plates. The kitchen can get pretty hot in the afternoons, but that’s just part of the job. We spend a lot of time chopping vegetables and making sure the supplies are stocked up. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late, which is always a bit of a headache. The tables are usually full, and you can hear the clinking of forks and people talking over their meals. We’ve got a few regulars who come in every single day and sit in the same chair. It’s nice to know their names and what they usually want without them having to ask. We try to keep the floors clean, but with people coming in and out all day, it’s a constant battle. We aren't trying to be some five-star place; we just want people to have a decent meal and go about their day. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all shift, but seeing the dining room full makes it feel alright. Just a normal eatery doing its best for the neighborhood. We hope the food tastes like home to the people who stop by.
