You can find Salon 1 over on Hennur Road in Kacharakanahalli. We are at number 23, which is quite close to the Vinayaka temple. It’s a decent location because people often stop by while they’re out running errands or headed to the temple. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We have the standard equipment and a few chairs for people to wait in. It’s not very large, but it gets the job done for the folks around here. We’ve been in this part of Bangalore for a while now, so we see a lot of the same faces every month. The traffic on Hennur Road can be a real headache sometimes, but once you step inside, it’s a bit calmer. We usually have the news on the small TV or some music playing softly. We do basic hair cutting and styling without much fuss. If you’re looking for something very elaborate, we might not be the right place, but for a regular trim, we’re here. We keep our tools clean and try to make sure everyone leaves looking a bit better than when they walked in. It’s just a local business run by people who live nearby. There’s nothing corporate about it. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes through the door. It's a honest way to make a living and we've been doing it like this for a long time.
