Saibaba Sugandh Bhandar

Our shop is at number 53 in Sultanpet. It is right there on National High Way No-8, close to Khodiyar Nagar. If you are coming from near Old Chickpet, you will find us easily. The air around here always smells like the incense we keep inside the shop. We have been selling sugandh and different kinds of agarbattis for a long time. The shelves are packed with boxes and small packets from the floor all the way to the ceiling. It gets quite dusty because of all the trucks and cars passing by on the highway outside. We spend our time checking stock and helping people pick out smells they like for their homes or for their daily prayers. It is a simple business. We do not have any air conditioning, so we usually keep the doors open to let the breeze in, even with all the traffic noise. Sometimes customers come in looking for very specific oils or powders. We know where everything is even though it looks like a bit of a mess to a stranger. The counter is old wood and has seen a lot of use over the years. We stay open late most days because people stop by on their way home from work. It is a local place and we see the same people every week. We just keep doing what we do, making sure the shelves are full and the shop stays open for whoever needs some fragrance for their home.
