Sai Ram General Store

Sai Ram General Store is located at Shop No-2/9, near the Factory Gate in Hoskute. We are also very close to the Masjid, which is a big landmark in this part of town. Because we are right by the Factory Gate, we see a lot of workers coming in during their breaks or after their shifts end. They usually want a quick snack, a cold drink, or some tobacco. The shop is small and tucked into the building at 2/9. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling to make use of every inch of space. You can find almost any small household item here, from hair oil to washing powder. The area is always noisy with the sounds of the factory and the traffic moving through Hoskute. We keep the fridge humming in the corner to make sure the water and soda stay cold for the workers. During prayer times at the nearby Masjid, the street gets even busier with people walking back and forth. We don't have a big sign or any fancy displays. It is just a regular general store where people can get what they need quickly. We spend a lot of time chatting with the regulars who work nearby. The floor is tile but it gets dirty fast with all the foot traffic. We just keep a broom handy and keep things moving as best as we can.
