About Sahuwala Flour Mills – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
Down in Sivasakthy Colony, over in the Ganapathy area, is where you’ll find Sahuwala Flour Mills. It’s a place that stays pretty dusty most days because that’s just the nature of working with grain and flour all the time. The machines have a specific hum that you get used to after working here for a week or two. We spend our mornings checking the wheat coming in and making sure the grinders are set right. It isn’t a quiet job, and your clothes usually end up white by the time you head home in the evening. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we see each other at the local shops too. We don’t have any slick receptionists or big glass windows. It’s a functional mill where the focus is strictly on the bags going out the door. The trucks back into the loading area throughout the day, and we spend a lot of time lugging heavy sacks around. Sometimes the heat gets a bit much, but we just keep the fans going and keep working. We’ve had some of the same equipment for years, and it still runs better than the new stuff if you treat it right. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless it’s for taxes or basic orders. Mostly, we are on the floor, checking the texture of the flour and making sure the bags are sealed properly before they get loaded up and sent to the local distributors.
