Saga Spices is over in Wilson Garden, specifically at 748/4, 8th Cross. It’s a busy area and the smell of spices is usually the first thing you notice when you get close to our door. We handle all sorts of spices—whole ones, powders, and mixes. The 4th Main Road is just around the corner, so it’s easy for the transport guys to find us. Inside, it’s mostly sacks of peppers, turmeric, and cumin stacked against the walls. We spend our time weighing out portions and sealing them up. It’s not a polished retail store; it’s more of a working warehouse and packing unit. We have a few grinders that make a lot of noise during the day. Sometimes the spice dust makes everyone sneeze, but we are used to it by now. The floor is always a bit stained from the turmeric, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just me and a few others working here. We don't have a website or big advertisements. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years in the trade. We just keep our heads down and make sure the spice is exactly what it should be. It’s simple, repetitive work, but there is something satisfying about seeing the bags lined up and ready to go. We stay open until the last order is packed, which usually means late evenings when the sun has already gone down.
