We operate out of Sanjay Nagar Adarsh Nagar 46, which is where we keep the trucks parked when they aren’t out on a call. Safe & Express Packers & Movers is exactly what the name says. We spend our days wrapping furniture in old blankets and taping up cardboard boxes until our hands get tired. Moving is a messy business. There is always a lot of dust, and something always turns out to be heavier than it looks. We’ve carried wardrobes down narrow stairs and tried to fit sofas through doors that were just an inch too small. It’s hard work on the back, but we are used to it by now. The morning starts with checking the fuel in the lorries and making sure we have enough bubble wrap and tape for the day’s jobs. People are usually a bit stressed when they see us because moving house is a lot of trouble for them. We just try to get in, load the stuff up, and get it to the new place without too much fuss or broken plates. Sometimes the traffic in the city makes a short trip take hours, but that is just part of living here. We don’t have a fancy office or any marketing people. It’s just us, the trucks, and a lot of heavy lifting from one street to the next. We just keep our heads down and get the furniture into the new house.
