Safa Provision Store

Safa Provision Store is tucked into the Green House Complex in Guruwar Peth, over in the B T M 1st Stage area. It is a bit of a walk from the main road but the locals know the way. We keep the shop open from early morning until quite late at night. The Green House Complex is a busy place and there is always someone moving around. Our shop is packed with all sorts of household goods. We have racks for snacks and shelves for soaps and powders. The space is a bit cramped because we try to stock a lot of variety for everyone. We spend our time checking the inventory and talking to the distributors when they come by with their vans. It is a noisy neighborhood but we have gotten used to it over the years. We use old fans to keep the air moving inside the shop. Sometimes we have to rearrange everything just to make room for a few new boxes that arrived unexpectedly. It is a lot of physical work like bending and reaching all day long. We do not have any fancy displays or marketing materials. We just put the items on the shelves and wait for people to come in. Most of our customers are from the apartments nearby and they come in for small things they ran out of while cooking. We like the daily interactions and the simple nature of the work.
