S S Surgical & Engineering Works

You can find us over at 6 J C Industrial estate on Bikasipura Main Road. We are quite close to the Ganapathi Temple. If you hear the temple bells in the morning, you know we are already starting our shift. We do a mix of surgical tool work and general engineering stuff at S S Surgical & Engineering Works. The workshop is usually full of stainless steel rods and various bits of machinery. It is not a very quiet place to work. We have been in this spot for a while now. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the gate because the road gets busy. We spend a lot of time checking the finish on the metal parts we make. It has to be clean for surgical use. We keep things pretty simple here. There is no big reception area or coffee machine. Just us and the machines. We eat lunch together in the small back room. The rain sometimes leaks a bit near the side window when it gets heavy. We keep a stack of old catalogs on the shelf that nobody reads. People stop by to ask for directions to the temple quite often. We just point them down the road. It is just a normal day-to-day operation. We work until the sun goes down and then lock up. It’s a decent place to spend the day if you like the smell of cut metal.
