S R Building Materials is located at 1/2&3 in Hedge Nagar, within the Thansandra Village and Ashwath Nagar area. We run a yard where we stock things like sand, cement, bricks, and other basic stuff you need to build a house or a wall. The yard is usually quite messy with piles of materials and trucks coming in to unload. It’s a very dusty environment, especially when the wind picks up, so we’re always covered in a bit of grit. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we have, you just walk around the yard with us. Our office is a tiny room with a desk and some chairs where we handle the bills. We started this business because there’s so much construction happening around Thansandra, and people needed a place close by to get their supplies without paying a ton for transport. We aren't a giant company with a board of directors. It’s just a few of us working hard every day to manage the loads and the deliveries. Sometimes the trucks get delayed in traffic, which is a pain, but we try to keep the customers informed. We don't do any big promotions. Most of our business comes from local contractors who have been buying from us for years. It’s practical, heavy work, but it feels good to see the buildings going up using our materials.
