S N Praveen Kumar Catering Services is based at 74/2 Gavipuram Extension. This is the place where all the magic happens in the kitchen. We have big stoves and massive pots for cooking for large groups of people. S N Praveen Kumar started this because there was a need for good food at local events and weddings. The kitchen is almost always a busy place, especially early in the morning when we start prepping. You can usually smell the spices and the steam from the street. It’s a very functional space with a lot of stainless steel surfaces and stacks of plates. We aren't trying to be a fancy restaurant with waiters. Our focus is on making large quantities of food that tastes like home cooking. The Gavipuram area is a nice neighborhood, and we often chat with the neighbors while we load our vans for a job. It gets really hot in the kitchen when all the burners are going at once, but we are used to it by now. We have a small group of cooks and helpers who have worked together for a long time. There is always a lot of cleaning to do after we finish a catering job. It’s hard work and it’s not always pretty, but it’s what we do. We don't use fancy words to describe our food. We just cook it and hope people enjoy their meals.
