S L V Tent House

Our place is right there on R.V Road, just across from the Cooperative Bank in the Corporation Building. It’s a busy spot near Lal Bagh Road, and there’s always something happening outside. Inside the shop, you’ll see stacks of metal poles and folded up fabric everywhere. It isn't the cleanest place because we are always moving things in and out for different functions. When a big order comes in, the whole floor gets covered in canvas and ropes. We spend a lot of time loading up the trucks early in the morning before the traffic gets really bad. Sometimes the rain makes the tents heavy and a bit of a mess to handle, but that’s just how it goes in this business. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the pipes and the grease. We’ve been in this building for a while now, and the neighbors all know us. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we go when things get a bit too hectic. It’s mostly just us working through the piles of chairs and stage parts, trying to keep everything organized. The shelves are filled with decorative cloth and light strings that we’ve had for years. It’s a simple setup, nothing fancy at all, just a lot of hard work and heavy lifting every day to make sure things get to where they need to be on time.
