S L V Food Products

We start early here on Residency Road, usually before the traffic gets too heavy on Gotri Road. Our place at 19/1 isn’t much to look at from the outside, but it’s where we spend most of our daylight hours. Inside, S L V Food Products is mostly just bags and containers stacked up wherever they fit. There is a specific smell that hangs in the air, a mix of whatever we are processing that day. Sometimes it is spices, other times it is just the scent of dry grains. We spend a lot of time checking the labels and making sure everything is where it should be. The floors are concrete and they get dusty pretty fast no matter how often we sweep. My desk is in the corner under a light that flickers a bit when the fridge kicks in. We talk to the delivery guys who pull up out front, usually complaining about the parking. It’s a busy neighborhood and finding a spot for a truck is a nightmare most mornings. We’ve known the people in the shops next door for years. We share tea sometimes when things quiet down in the afternoon. It is just a regular life here, keeping things moving and making sure the orders go out to whoever needs them. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just us, the food products, and the daily work that needs doing before the sun goes down.
