S L V Engineering is located down at Mahadevapura Timber Market 2. It is a busy area with trucks moving wood around all day, so it is never really quiet. We have our little unit where we handle different kinds of metalwork. It is mostly welding and basic machining. We have a few guys who have been working with us for years and they know the machines inside out. The shed gets very hot during the summer because of the metal roof, but we just keep the fans going and get through the day. We don’t have any big office or a reception area. You just come in through the main gate and find us by the workbench. We do a lot of small jobs for the other businesses in the timber market. If a hinge breaks or a frame needs strengthening, they bring it over. We use a lot of recycled metal when we can to keep costs down for everyone. Sometimes we have tea together at the stall across the road when the power goes out. Those breaks are nice, actually. We don't do any big advertising. Most of our work comes from people just knowing we are here. It is a simple setup with old tools and a lot of scrap metal lying around the corners. We try to be fair with our timing, though sometimes things get backed up. It is just a normal workshop doing what we know best for the folks nearby.
