Our place, S A Thirumalai & Bros, is located at Kalasipalyam, though the address points to Sun Pharma Road in Atladara 20. It can be a bit confusing for people who aren't from around here. We are a family-run operation, just a few brothers working together to keep the business running. It’s been this way for a long time. The work is mostly manual and involves a lot of back-and-forth. We aren't big on technology or fancy office setups. You’ll usually find us in our work clothes, dealing with whatever load has just arrived. The area around Sun Pharma Road is quite busy with industrial activity, so there is always a layer of dust on the windows. We don't mind it much. We have our routines, like having tea together in the mid-afternoon when things quiet down for a few minutes. Dealing with suppliers and customers takes up most of our energy. We don’t use big words or try to act like we’re a major corporation. We are just the Thirumalai brothers trying to do an honest day’s work at Atladara 20. There are days when we disagree about things, but at the end of the shift, we’re family. That’s the most important thing. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand. It’s a basic life, but it’s ours, and we’re proud of it. We just keep moving.
