Royal Mans Parlour

I've been working here at 164/k on 19th main for a long time now. It’s a busy spot in Rajajinagar 1st Block and we see a lot of people passing by all day. Most of our regulars live around the 14th cross area. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself and it just became a part of the neighborhood over the years. Some days it gets really crowded, especially on Sunday mornings when everyone wants to look sharp for the week. We just do the normal things like hair cuts and shaves. I don't go for anything too fancy or expensive. My chairs have been here for a while and they are comfortable enough. I know almost every face that walks in. We talk about the local news or the weather, or sometimes we just stay quiet if they are tired from work. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but the fan keeps things moving. If you are looking for the shop, we are right there near the corner. Finding a place to park your scooter can be a bit tricky because the lanes are narrow here. I spend a lot of time sweeping the floor because hair just gets everywhere. It’s a simple life running a parlour in Bangalore. I have seen so many changes in Rajajinagar since I opened. New shops come and go but we stay right here doing the same work every day. It’s not much but it keeps me busy and I like the people who come here. We open early and stay until the last customer is done.
