Royal Dye Chem

At Royal Dye Chem, the days are often long and filled with a lot of heavy lifting. Our place is on Avenue Road at number 33/179/02, inside the Skanda Nilaya building near Police Road. It is a very crowded part of the city with narrow streets and lots of noise from the carts and trucks. The warehouse area is packed with drums of chemicals and large bags of dyes. The air always has a sharp, slightly sour smell that you stop noticing after you have worked here for a while. My clothes usually end up with some spots on them by the end of the shift. We spend a lot of time moving inventory around to make space for new arrivals. The walls are a bit stained and the lighting is dim in the back where we keep the older stock. We have a small office area with a wooden desk that is covered in delivery notes and invoices. I keep a log of everything that goes out in a thick leather-bound book. Sometimes the neighbors come by to complain about the noise when we are unloading trucks, but that is just part of being on Avenue Road. It is hard work and my hands are often stained with different colors. We don't have any decorations or a waiting room for guests. It is a practical space meant for getting the work done. I usually head home when the street gets quiet.
