Chemi Dyes Corporation

Chickpet is a crowded place, and our location at 23/175 is right in the thick of it. If you’ve ever been down these narrow lanes, you know how packed it gets with people and carts. Our building is old, and it smells like the different dyes and chemicals we keep in the back. We have large drums and smaller containers everywhere. It’s not the cleanest work, and our hands often have stains from whatever we were mixing that day. We don't have much in the way of air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that spin all day to keep the air moving. We spend a lot of time measuring out powders and liquids for our customers who come in from all over. The floor is stained with many different colors from over the years, which kind of tells the story of the place. We have a small desk near the front where we keep our accounts and take orders. It’s mostly manual work, carrying heavy bags and moving containers around. We know our neighbors well because we’re all squeezed in so close together. By the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired and ready to close the heavy shutters. It’s a tough environment, but it’s what we know. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized in the middle of the Chickpet scramble.
