Reddy Bricks

You can find us at 1194/2 on 19th Main Road in Kurubarahalli, which is part of J C Nagar. This neighborhood has changed a lot since we first started, with more houses popping up everywhere. Our yard is usually full of red bricks stacked in neat rows, though they don't stay neat for long once the loading starts. We get a lot of sunlight here, which is good for the bricks but tough on us during the summer months. The 19th Main gets pretty busy with people commuting, so we try to get our deliveries out early to avoid the worst of the congestion. It is just a handful of us working here, usually starting our day with a quick talk about what needs to be delivered where. We have an old desk under a tin roof where we keep all the receipts and a few pens that barely work. The ground is always a bit uneven, so you have to watch your step when you're walking between the stacks. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play near the gate, and we have to tell them to move along so they stay safe from the trucks. We don't do anything special, just handle the bricks and talk to the people who need them for their homes. It is dusty and physical work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without fail. We just try to keep the supply moving as best as we can.
