Working at Redapple Kitchen Consultancy Pvt Ltd on Lavelle Road 18 is a bit different every day. Our office is right in the heart of a busy area, but once you step inside, it is all about kitchens. We have stacks of drawings and catalogs showing stoves, sinks, and industrial refrigerators. It’s not a showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a workspace where we figure out where things should go. We spend hours looking at floor plans and measuring out spaces on paper. There is always a pot of tea going, and the smell of old paper and ink is everywhere. We talk to chefs and restaurant owners who are usually in a hurry, so the phone rings quite a bit. Sometimes we are out on site, walking through dusty construction zones with our tape measures, and other times we are just sitting here at number 18 debating where a vent should go. The chairs are a bit old and the desks are covered in coffee rings and pencil marks. Lavelle Road is always busy outside, so we hear the honking and the people walking by all the time.
