Read Abroad

Read Abroad is located at Marthahalli 256 2. It’s right in the middle of a very busy part of Bangalore. If you know Marthahalli, you know how crowded the roads can get, especially near the bridge. We have a small office here where we handle everything. There are always papers and folders lying around because of the nature of the work. People come in and out quite a bit, so the door is always opening and closing. Read Abroad is the name on the door. We don't have a big fancy sign, just something small so people know they are in the right place. It can get a bit loud with the buses and cars outside, but we don't mind it too much. We have a few desks and a very old sofa for people to wait on. The carpet has seen better days, and the lighting is a bit dim in the back. We just try to keep things moving along. It’s a local business and we know a lot of the people who come by. There isn't any corporate polish here, just us trying to help people with their paperwork and reading stuff. We usually have the radio on in the background to drown out the traffic. It’s a basic setup but it works for us. We’ve been here at 256 2 for a while now and it feels like home.
